Man, they really know how to reel us in, don’t they? First, Bethesda releases the awe-inspiring Fallout 4 trailer featuring a dog sleuthing its way through the opening cinematic, then they start marketing that shifty little smart phone game and when that’s just about roadkill, then come the S.P.E.C.I.A.L videos.
Two days ago, Bethesda released their last remaining S.P.E.C.I.A.L. video, detailing the benefits of different perks in Fallout 4, finishing off strong with “Luck”.
Forums are lighting up, with a couple of redditors saying that Agility and Luck are the top stats for the latest game. Sure, if your goal is to get constant crits and kite enemies all day long, I’d say go for it. There must be something “special” about the way stats add up in this game, in comparison to Fallout: New Vegas or Fallout 3, because Kotaku says so, and they are pretty much the closest thing to an authority that us gremlins have to get our Vault fix.
Luck is always a good thing to have as an added perk in Fallout–throughout the franchise–regardless of the game’s current iteration. And thinking about the new wave of Power Armor, we should probably stack up on Intelligence, too.
If you’d like to watch all the Fallout 4 S.P.E.C.I.A.L videos and plan your character’s trajectory early (I’m seeing a pink mohawk in my future), IGN has you covered. Fallout 4 is due for release Nov. 10, 2015.
