Get a taste of the locally produced shows that will be showcased at this year’s Orlando International Fringe Theatre Festival
The 23rd annual Orlando International Fringe Theatre Festival is looming over our heads like some elusive purple elephant and we’re just dying to catch it and go along for the ride. The actual fest won’t begin until May, but the Lowndes Shakespeare Center offers two separate previews for those who simply can’t wait another month for all the cross-dressing, pseudo-intellectual, gut-wrenching, historical and just outright hilarious shows guaranteed to induce some catharsis in the avid theater-goer. Monday brings two preview shows: The first, at 7 p.m., is deemed “safe for little ears and eyes,” but the second show, at 9 p.m., promises to hold nothing back. Get in there early and don’t miss out on all the madness this year has to offer.
